Oceanfront Residence, Fort Lauderdale
 

Perched above the turquoise waters of Fort Lauderdale, The Selene is a study in contrast — where the edited, urban sensibility of New York meets the ease of life by the sea. Designed for a New York-based client, the concept became a dialogue between two worlds: the tailored, industrial language of the city and the soft, sun-warmed textures of the coast.
 

Raw iron and concrete-look surfaces set an architectural backbone, grounded by warm wood tones and tactile finishes that keep the space from feeling cold. A custom bench, hand-forged in France, anchors the living area as a sculptural centerpiece. Lighting is deliberately minimal and linear, receding so nothing competes with the view beyond the glass. A fireplace adds quiet warmth, while in the primary suite, strategically placed mirrors extend the horizon inward, blurring the line between interior and ocean.
 

The result is a residence that feels both edited and elemental
— a sanctuary that never lets you forget you're steps from the sea.
